Read A Court of Thorns and Roses, A Court of Mist and Fury, A Court of Wings and Ruin, A Court of Frost and Starlight, then A Court of Silver Flames.

It is shorter and slower than the others. It does not have a large external conflict.

Nesta's full novel. It tackles trauma, healing, rage, and explicit intimacy.
The focus shifts from Feyre to Nesta. The emotional intensity is very high.

Keep Frost and Starlight in the first-read route
This shorter companion sits between the original trilogy and A Court of Silver Flames. We recommend keeping it here for the transition, rather than treating it as another full-scale war novel.
Choose other Maas series by interest
The author offers a starting point in each series. You do not need to finish an eight-book Throne of Glass route before starting ACOTAR. Save any cross-series research until after reading if you want to avoid spoilers.

The author’s March 5, 2026 announcement schedules ACOTAR 6 for October 27, 2026 and ACOTAR 7 for January 12, 2027. Those are upcoming as of this September 8 review; they are not part of the published sequence below.
