How BookendsAI earns and handles reader data.

BookendsAI is meant to stay calm, useful, and free to browse. This page explains the affiliate links that support the work and the deliberately small amount of reader data the site keeps.

Why these links exist

Amazon links are how the site earns

Right now, Amazon affiliate links are the only way BookendsAI earns money. If the site helps and you are going to buy one of these books anyway, using our link is an easy way to support it.

Editorial standard

Recommendations still come first

Affiliate links do not decide which books we recommend. The page still has to be useful, specific, and honest about who a book is for.

Amazon disclosure

The required note

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. We also aim to place short, clear disclosures near buy links when they appear.

Reader data, kept deliberately small

BookendsAI does not need an account or a behavioral profile to help you choose a book.

Accounts

No account required

You can browse guides and the Atlas without creating a profile or handing over an email address.

Product analytics

No email, cookie, or visitor ID

We collect bounded page and search signals to find broken results and missing guides. The Worker removes email addresses and URLs from search text, and an optional reply email is excluded from analytics entirely.

Written notes

Contact for 30 days, note for 180

A note you intentionally send is stored as editorial input. Optional email is removed after 30 days and the full note after 180 days through a scheduled cleanup.
